When it comes to wainscoting the question I always get asked is, "do we want a different bottom, or not?" I treat each room, each home, like an individual. It's up to you. Splitting a room in thirds with different colors and having it turn out stylish not predictable, fun and not wild, is tricky. There are many reasons why we to have a different color at the bottom of a wainscoting. The furniture in the room and the personality of the room has a lot to do with it. I often include trim color as a catalyst of what can make or break a room. What's your take on these choices?

I am having a difficult time trying to figure out a dining room, high wainscoting color combo for a room with limited natural light!
Your blog has been the most helpful. I like the white trim color with golden colors for the walls!
