I can do an entire color collection on peonies alone! Maybe I'll do just that! These started out a crimson pink-like color (almost purple) and look at them now! They will end up looking like Devine Custard an Devine Butter by the end of the week...it's like magic that I want to capture in a paint can!
For me it's all about reinterpreting color combinations in new ways that make the familiar appear phenomenal! Just look at how someone else captured flower power as a cake...but it's not just a cake, is it?
Summer also gets reinvented every year, with sharp hues of white, pink, yellow, coral, aqua, lime, and orange. But these don't have to last only one season; in fact, they can live perfectly at home year round!
Color has many past and present lives in fashion, decor, art and film; and even more future ones still to come. You know summer is coming when you see bright colors popping up in magazines, movies, table linens, dresses, shoes, and even "Sex & The City 2!" (OK see my review...SATC2)
Check out the way these hues have been translated (yet again) into livable objects that you can continue to have your way with them any time, anywhere, any season: www.squintlimited.com.
Thanks to Decor8 I found a phenomenal stair case in colors that make your feet want to dance their way up and down the stairs! Why not paint your stairs? Try these Devine version of this rug creation: Devine Gecko, Pistachio Lime, Flamingo, Ale, Cafe, Coast, and Lobster!

I think this would work even if it wasn't all white. I can see it a number of ways.

Wow, I love the stairs. Does this work only because everything is white? I currently have Almond in my hall. What colors could I do the stairs with if my walls are not white? Also the stairs them selves are an off white/beige (not sure of the color, since they were painted that when we moved in). Would that change things?
